CARLIN - The public is invited to a groundbreaking and reception Monday for El Dorado Hills - a new residential development in Carlin.
NV Developers already began construction, but the official groundbreaking ceremony will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Carlin.
The reception will be from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. in the Humboldt room at the Red Lion Hotel & Casino in Elko.
“Our goal is to offer a comfortable community with a quality product that home buyers expect,” said NV Developers' CEO Tom Ortiz. “This reception gives us a chance to introduce potential home buyers to El Dorado Hills, which combines the best of country living with affordable prices in Elko County.”
The reception will showcase the community's homes, which are three and four bedroom homes on 15,000 square foot lots. A scale model of the development will be available for viewing at the reception, and the developer, Realtor, and the mortgage company will be on hand to answer questions.

“Homeownership has always been a central part of the American Dream,” said Mark Schopper of NV Developers. “El Dorado Hills' location, diverse floor plans, amenities, and affordability make this community unique. There is nothing like it in Elko County with comparable pricing.”
Refreshments and door prizes will be available at the event.
When the subdivision is complete it will include 375 homes and two community parks. Decorated models will be available soon to showcase the stylish homes, which feature elaborate floor plans with living and dining rooms with vaulted ceilings, fully-equipped modern kitchens, bedrooms with walk-in closets, and bathrooms with recessed bathtubs and whirlpools.
All of the homes include garages with doors for oversized vehicles. Some of the available options include fireplaces, hardwood floors, granite kitchen countertops, and media centers with 42-inch flat screen HD TV/DVD/VCR players with surround sound.
El Dorado Hills is located directly across Interstate 80 from Carlin.
Lot reservations are $250, and are fully refundable. Call toll free at 1-866-777-8187 for information.
