ELKO - Early this morning two teenagers from the McDermitt area died and another was injured in a rollover accident about 70 miles north of Winnemucca on Highway 95.
The accident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. when the driver of a red pickup lost control of the vehicle and it overturned, ejecting the three occupants who were reportedly not wearing seatbelts, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Two of the teens were ejected into the roadway and at least one was struck by a passing motorist, Sgt. Greg Johnson said.
It was not clear if he died as a result of the accident or being struck by the vehicle, the NHP reported.
The survivor was transported to Humboldt County General Hospital and airlifted to a Reno hospital.
